Why Spine?

We do not only treat the spine, but we believe that the spine plays a fundamental role in the balance of the entire organism through the nervous system and has an impact on dysfunctions in the anatomical structures of other regions of the musculoskeletal system, including organs and viscera. As Hippocrates said, knowledge of the spine is the requirement to treat many diseases.

We believe in the ideal balance between science, art and philosophy where these elements are self-motivators of the caring human spirit. We also believe that the ideal growth of our team occurs in a triad formed in the practice of teaching, clinical practice and research, as these three components also support and strengthen each other.

ICV, the spinal column institute, is part of an international initiative for excellence in clinical care. A specialized service in the musculoskeletal area, from primary prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.

We develop strategies based on pain control, correction and muscle rebalancing, based on clinical and scientific evidence.

Interdisciplinary Multimodal and Multidisciplinary Treatment in Traumatological and Orthopedic Rehabilitation
Integrate different procedures into a treatment plan, observing the principle of an integrated “therapeutic moment” for each patient, observing their clinical demands and personal needs based on the health-disease determinants surrounding their clinical case. Classify clinical demands based on the degree of complexity and outline therapeutic strategies according to the clinical phase in which the patient is. Promote health care in a monthly care plan or in individual visit planning.
If necessary, we also develop multimodal or unimodal clinical strategies, depending on the patient's profile.

Concept of Trauma-orthopedic Rehabilitation according to SBRTO, is a set of multidisciplinary measures, capable of promoting the restoration of musculoskeletal function, with the return to work function, physical, sporting, social and daily activities, adopting appropriate measures for each phase of its dysfunction and its clinical characteristics, that is, its therapeutic moment.
