OMT Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy

Presentation:

Course: Training in Manipulative Physiotherapy: D5 K13

Emphasis:

1.    Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy
2.    Osteopathy (Requires optional somatovisceral module)

Format:

Two in-person modules and one distance learning module. Each in-person module will have classes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

*Note: Optional supervised clinical practice will be offered

Certification:

•    Certificate with the Manipulativa Brasil seal and registration with ANAFIQ. •    Hours of this course can be used in the Diploma programs in Manipulative Physiotherapy and Chiropractic of ANAFIQ

This program offers certification at the training level in Manipulative Physiotherapy Training, according to the parameters of the IFOMT consensus, known as D5K13 (Dimension5 Kompentency13), where the manipulative physiotherapist incorporates knowledge of Manipulative Physiotherapy in orthopedic manipulative treatment. The qualification of this extension course is that of manipulative physiotherapist.

Use for continuing studies in Manipulative Physiotherapy: This training is linked to the Manipulative Physiotherapy Training program in continuous teaching mode (PEC ANAFIQ).

Objectives:

To promote the training of Manipulative Physiotherapists by introducing them to the knowledge of diverse Manipulative Physiotherapy techniques so that they can continue their studies in this area and obtain a Manipulative Physiotherapy Training Certificate. It also aims to teach basic Manipulative Physiotherapy techniques to Physiotherapists so that they can enhance their therapeutic arsenal.

Workload: 100 hours, including complementary activities. We offer an optional module with 50 hours of internship, so that the student can, if they choose, be certified with 150 hours of training.

Prerequisites:

Physiotherapists and Physical Therapy Students.

Basic semiology in Chiropractic

Neurophysiological evaluation aspects, basic neurological evaluation of myotendinous reflexes, cranial nerves, myotomes and dermatomes according to ASIA (American Spinal Injury Association)

Clinical Palpation of Anatomical Structures
